maintenance calories
im putting a long overdue cutting diet together and had a quick question about maintenance calories. im using the Katch-McArdle formula.
i have been reading a lot about people not changing their maintenance calories, but only increasing cardio to burn fat instead of dropping 500 cals from their diet while cutting to maintain lbm etc. i like this idea.
with that said, are maintenance calories figuring in activity calculations too?
i.e mine says 2240cals(maintenance calories i think) w/o activity calculated, while i would be at 3318cals w/ 3-5days of activity.
which one do i base my macros from?
with this idea im assuming 2240cals instead of 1740cals regardless of activity for dropping fat correct? seems a bit low...
i see a lot of folks around 3000cals cutting! where am i off track here?
sorry if this is a really noob question. but thumbing through these boards gets me confused at times.
thanks guys

Base your macros off of 3300. The formula isn't an exact science, you will have to adjust it every 3-4 weeks. What are your stats?
