I assume this is a no no.. because of the carbs. Its tough. I think I could do a Milk only diet easier than no milk at all.... just love the stuff. Imput???

If you really love it, make sure you have it in your cheatmeal once a week, Maybe with dessert. Some people start to become, what feels like, lactose intollerant after running keto for a long time due to the lack of dairy. Having it in your cheat meal will help with this.

Does that mean that cheese is also forbidden as its also a milk byproduct? I thought cheese was ok - high in fat and with some protein too?

^^On a true keto, particularly in the induction stage, cheese is avoided... as there are no truly carb-free cheeses.

while its true many avoid cheese and dairy due to milk sugars - many cheeses are fine - they have less than 1 gram of carb per serving and 0 sugars .....ie sharp cheddar / cheddar / string cheese / provolone / monteray jack - its processed cheese products that need be avoided (kraft singles etc...) and also your cottage cheese & ricotta cheese should be avoided...
