    carb cycle Q

So i was wondering....when carb cycling which of these versions would be better?

    day 1: High
    day 2 : Medium
    day 3 : Medium
    day 4 : Low
    day 5: repeat

    or

    day 1: medium
    day 2: high
    day 3: medium
    day 4: low

i'm changing my split to a 3 on 1 off instead of my usual 6 on 1 off so day 4 will always be an off day from weights, sometimes there will be cardio though as i'm keeping cardio at mon-fri in the morning for an hour for the time being

ruhl is going to shoot you all....answer my damn question.....also, i have another

When counting carbs, i count them absolutely, vegetables all included, because the fact is they have carbs in them. Now no they may not have a glycemic impact. So if of a day i haven't eaten ANYTHING in the way of regular carbs, oats, rice etc, then even though i've gotten maybe 100g from vegetables would that essentially be a zero carb day in my carb cycling???

personally I'd prefer the first carb cycle you listed, but I prob have different needs than you (since I'm not competing

I don't count veggies as carbs

I never carb cycle until about 4-6 weeks out and if I do I go low, low, low, high repeat. I also never count carbs from fibrous veggies into macros.

I run more carbs than most people I know, but then again I also do more cardio as well. from weeks 6-14 my carbs are usually in the 250-350 range with cardio in the 60-90 minute range. Total calories are in the 3000-3300 range.

X2 this sounds like a sound plan. How many grams of carbs on your low & high days?

Low=50 high=300, although this is completely dependant on how I am looking. I have competed several times without carb cycling at all. I use it as a tool to get through sticking points or as a way of catching up if I feel my look is behind where it should be.

Thanks for the info. On your low day when do you ingest these 50g of carbs? Pre workout, PWO, or split between the two?

Usually 25 grams with meal 1 and another 25 post work out. It sucks.
