What I have never understood is why you don't hear of many people including 100% whole wheat past into their cutting diets. I believe the GI is lower than both swt pot and brown rice. So why is it considered taboo to eat it while cutting?

although the gi may be lower, most people will put so much crap on the pasta that it will add 100g sugar to the daily intake..

and pasta is usually avoided due to people not being disciplined enough...

I be you use splenda on your sweet potato right??

what about new potatoes if you want a low GI..

I actually eat my sweet potato's plain w/ a dash of cinnamon on them (they are sweet enough naturally for me). When I do have 100% whole wheat pasta I toss it a little bit of extra virgin olive oil w/ a little garlic.

If you like pasta, then stick with pasta. I dont see any prob with it, not to mention its lower GI. Its just people would put all sorts of craps in their sauces or gravs that would screw up the whole meal. I've always been eatin pasta plain with my eggs and also chicken breast and it tasted just fine enough.

When I cut I don't care about fats really, just protein and low carbs.

Put a little butter on them noodles and some parm cheese. Good 2 go.
