    do calories really matter ?

    i mean im 180lbs, i used to eat 3.5kcals to maintain bodyweight, and since i bought this grapplers guide to sports nutrition, im eating approx 2000calories as the sample diet suggests in the book, and im still maintaining bodyweight ? do calories really matter or its the quality cals that are what to watch the most

    cals do matter. they are all relate. adding up your macros will get you your total calorie. you probably maintaining you weight at that amount because your body has adjusted

    if you someone who's just getting into dieting, paying attention to how many carbs/protien/fat alone can surfice... there is a diet/nutrition video on this forum that tells you to f counting calories.. this is a great way to change your diet up for the better w/o getting frustrated...

    for those of us that are a bit more exp and advanced, counting kcal is the most important thing
