    ground beef/mince

How do you guys cook your minced beef? I mean without adding and oil or cooking butter etc. And if the minced beef has fat in it how would be the best way to seperate the fat from the beef?

My mum buys my mince. She gets the butcher to mince up topside cut i think it is - has next to no fat. Maybe 1-2%.

If i use the foreman (on this meat) its evident that there is no fat as the only thing that drips out is fluid from the meat.

I don't trust mince that is pre-minced "extra lean" because on many occasions i have put it on the foreman and the fat comes dripping off.

    a) get your meat custom minced from a lean cut

    b) if you do get an average mince (for price) use the foreman.

My mince is mixed up with 1 egg, salt, pepper, 1-2 tablespoons cinnamon & sometimes a tablespoon of paunut oil

Add spices and cook in a pan. No need to add oil or anything as any amount of fat in it will grease the pan enough.

    Drain then eat.

Dont wanna add any oil or fat if I can avoid it, need to keep it super lean. Need to get a Forman. Dont think the forman is very popular in my country but I ll look. BTW is ostrich meat supposed to smell so bad while its cooking? hope its not off. wish me luck. Tks for all the feedback guys

Virgin olive oil in pan. Brown. Drain fat. Cook more. Drain fat/grease.

Put the meat in a strainer and run under steaming water to rinse out additional fat/grease.

    Serve...
