How do you curb cravings when cutting?

I'm eating fish, eggs, and veggies like a mofo... at least 6 meals a day.
So I'm getting plenty of real food, but I am getting some serious sugar cravings throughout the day lately.
I'm not someone who normally even eats sweets but man I just want to eat a mountain of cake right now.

What do you guys do / eat to fight the cravings when you get them?
I've been eating a couple teaspoons of natty peanut butter here and there when the cravings hit and that seems to help a little, but lately when I do all I can think about is dousing the pb with honey.

These cravings are driving me batshit!
    Need some pointers...

HAH PB AND HONEY - HOW GOOD IS IT!!!!!

I used to do that - just half a tea spoon of PB and the other half honey - yummmmmm. But now that I learnt that an insulin spike causes the body to store fat quicker i don't even dare.

RE: Sugar Craving - just gotta tough it out - theres nothing that I have found that can substitute it (while cutting). Maybe a high protein/low carb pancake?

I make diet cordial ice blocks. (Aussies will know what cordial is).

from what i understand, and learned at probodybuilding.com keto diets actually have less carb cravings then carb cycling diets.

just go down a little bit and it shows you the pros and cons of both types of diets

I've done low carb, keto, and carb cycling, and I can definately say carb cycling has some reaaaally bad cravings. The last day before your high carb day is brutal.

Depends on how many weeks out you are, but a teaspoon of PB with a drop of honey will put a smile on your face. Haha, it's sad, but you pretty much have to drive through it.

What kind of cutting diet are you on?

I keep a pan of sugar free jello in the fridge. It seems to help me stay off the sugar cravings

I have a question about ketosis:

Lets say one would go into ketosis, and he's successfully losing wait and sparing as much LBM as possible. After getting out of ketosis, will his body absorb carbs faster than normal and cause weight gain again?

It was just something I was thinking about.

Go to the workout section and there is a stickie at the top of the page called The Slingshot Training System. Look up cutting diets in the table of contents!

You'll gain water weight back really fast! If you add the carbs back in gradually over-time and keep up your activity level you will be fine. After my show I will add them back into my diet on a daily basis by way of Slingshot Carb-Cycling and remain very lean the rest of the summer.

You are 100% correct. I'm in my fourth week of keto and I honestly don't even crave sugar or carbs for that matter. I eat my one weekly carb meal Sat. night and that is it.

ummm, your not suppose to have any carbs ever on a keto diet! it can take your body up to 4 weeks to even go into ketosis. having any carbs makes this take even longer i thought

I would wait two weeks before including the cheat meal, by then ketosis should have started.

i do ketosis dieting fo about 4 months during the hot season.... i live off of

    - diet soda's
    - Choc protein powder + instant coffee + cinnamon + stevia + tons of ice and water
    - I make my own ice cream (sort of) using natural ex-lax (fiber source..the type that thickens) + organic cocoa + stevia + water....freeze it until it ices up...very good.

The combination of these 3 things = give me no cravings whatsoever.
