    Ketosis and protein drinks

Im trying to run a very low to no carb diet to get into ketosis to burn BF and was wondering if drinking protein drinks would stop that from happening. The powder I have has 30g of protein per serving but also has 6g or carbs per serving and 129 calories per serving. Is it ok to add to diet?

Well Im not extremely reliant on it for all my protein but Im running 700mg of Test E per week as well as 6IU per day of HGH, so I need more protein than I can eat in a single day to get good results from the Test.

just to dispell any myths.. that is a very big debate if atheletes need more protein than anybdoy else. i believe more is better but in this case i have a feeling you are eating way too much protein. your diet should never exceed 40% or 2g (and 2g is extreme working out 2x a day and you are a pro bodybuilder, otherwise i never see the need for 2). 1.5g is plenty for you and unless your 800lbs, i have no idea why it is hard for you to eat that. its actually very simple do you mind posting up your diet?

To answer your question, Yes, protein drinks are fine when you are on the ketogenic diet. I would try to find one with less carbs per serving than the one you are using though. depending on which version of keto you run all the rules are different. But in keto, the most important thing is that you receive your correct amounts of proteins and fats. Because of this, all your meals are interchangeable. Basically you can switch them up every meal, eat the same thing every meal, eat solid foods every meal, etc. You could even do shakes every meal if you wanted (But I wouldn't recommend that).

In Dave Palumbo's version of keto, he trains several professional and up and coming amateur bodybuilders who he has eating 3 solid meals and 3 shakes per day.
