    Tobacco Question

    Hey guys not really sure where to put this so I just thought the dieting thread was as close as I could get. Heres the deal.

    I play D1 baseball and am cutting a little weight naturally. Nothing major right now being that I am in season, just going for 5-7lbs over the next month and a half.

    Just wondered if any of yall dip (skoal,cope) while dieting. I was just wondering if it had anynegative effects that would really hinder me. I know it lowers BP and Ive heard tobacco can even lower body temp to some degree.

    Ive dipped since I was 16 (Im now 21) and it helps me if Im really hungry especially late at night. Just wonder what yalls thoughts were on it.

    The nicotine in any tobacco raises bp not lowers. I am sure of this.I have smoked for years. Finally decidedd it was time to take life seriously. Havent had a smoke or tobacco in 4 days. I love to dip to . But I want to live a long time

    I played summer ball there at Woffords field. Im now about an hour up I77. I loved Spartanburg. Im from MN originally.

    Dip will raise your bp in most cases. I know that when I quit dipping for awhile, I gained weight. Whether it be because of eating more to avoid dipping (kind of like what you said) or if there's some kind of scientific reasoning behind it, I don't know.

    I heard today that smokin and dippin did something to a gene in the body which increases fat burning. Shitty health risk for this to be the reason someone smokes or dips. dont get me wronge,to each his own I loved to smoke and if it wasent messing me up so bad Id be puffin rt now

    I only have 2 dips a day ussually. One during batting practice and the other before bed. Of course depending on the day it can vary a little bit. I dont do it to lose weight though. I do it because it tastes great and all the Big Leaguers do it so you know its gotta work

    other brain killers will make you loose weight the fastest, however,..... it's not a good idea.
    try quitting and up the training or better the diet.

    Ive copied out the sample cutting diet and brought it my our nutritionist at the hotel today. She said she would look over it and tweak my meals a bit. As for the crystal meth and blow lol I think ill hold that off for a rainy day. Ive never even had a beer.

    About a month ago I quit drinking pop totally and I feel alot better from that. Ive been drinking a gallon anda half of water a day from a big jug. Thats made me feel a TON better already.

    As for the training part, heres our running schedule. We run 7 days a week and rotate on a 3 day cycle. Its changed a bit from week to week but you can get the idea.

    Day 1) 40-50 minute run (on the outfield warning track)
    Day 2) 8-10 180ft sprints
    Day 3) 10-15 90ft sprints

    I know this is the dieting forum but just thought I would put it all on one post.
