    which fish

    hi all ive been dieting on orange roughy and just realised its high in mercury is this a bad thing.Which fish is best to diet on i will be competing in a week cheers

    Large fishes are usually high in mercury.

    If you want lots of ***** 3's - Salmon, mackrel, herring, sardines (fresh). Nothing farmed as that ****s all the ***** 3's (much like grain fed cattle have ****ed up fats from all the grains)

    Tuna fits into that, but then gets canned (I don't mean literally) due to high mercury. But whether the fat content will blow your diet in terms of calories etc I don't know. But ***** 3's as I am sure you know.. will help you metabolise your own body's fat stores and helps with inflammation etc.

    As for fresh Sardines - I couldn't get them in Oz, even at the fish markets in Sydney. Maybe in QLD you could. Aussies just don't eat them, as they are very oily(which is good), quite a heavy and with a strong taste . In Spain you can buy them everywhere and cheap too.
