How do you count macros
I know it's a dumb question but I need an aswer. For example the nutritional info on a cup of brown rice is 220CAL 45 Carbs 5 Protein and 2 Fat
When I'm couting my macros do I only count the 1 cup rice as being 45g Carbs? or do I also count the protein and fat from the rice for my daily totals.

Ok so my lean ground beef is about 24g protein and 16g fat per 100grams, that's a lot of fat from a high protein food. I'll have to rework my diet a bit, I was just couting the proteing from meats and carbs from the pastas and potatoes. This would explain why I had a hard time cutting.
Thank You
