why would you take a shake wtih milk? especially if its PWO your going to want quick protein hence the purpose of you probably choosing whey (isolates). milk will only slow the process down, suck it down with water always. if your bulking add more calories/up macros from your current diet.

I do mine with milk, it does not go in as easy if with water, but it adds more calories and vitamin d as well as calcium. For extra I add few spoons of peanut butter and a banana.

Yes and no, depends on how much he is relying on them for his overall protein intake. I have 4 scoops of protein per day, 2 post work out, 1 with an oatmeal pancake during the day and one with milk at the end of the day. Im taking in over 300 grams per day of protein and only 90 are from shakes. And for people like me who can get there hands on powder protein for dirt cheap (20 pounds, for under a 100 bucks) its an easy way to keep the food bill under control
