truckers diet
Alright. I'm a trucker and I am looking for some good food sources that can be readily available which doesn't require cooking unless its prior cooking. I not only drive but have to unload my trailer I normally have about 5 stores a day to deliver and during each store I burn approx. 500 calories. I have figured up the amount of calories, carbs, and proteins I need for my 6 meals a day. But short of eating the same ole Turkey on whole wheat bread I'm open to suggestions. Heres what I have figured up for training days which are Mon, Tues, Thurs Friday.:
Calories 3907
651 calories per meal
109g from fat
218g from Protein
327g from Carbs
Non Training days which are the Days i'm on the road Wed. half of Thursday (not including this day since I'm training Thursday evening) Sat, and Sunday
Calories 2731
455 Calories per meal x 6 meals
75g from Fat
150g from Protein
225g from Carbs
Thanks in advance for any and all food variations.

well I normally just carry a cooler.. I have the plug in type cooler but I drive a truck with a refridgerated trailer.. So i guess you could say I have access to a freezer and a cooler.. but No microwave! I'll tell you what my diet use to consist of.
Breakfast:
coffee (decaf)
2 x pb&j on wheat
1 banana
snack:
Turkey breast (deli) 2oz on 12 grain bread with cheese and mustard
apple or banana
basically I continue to eat these same sandwhiches throughout the rest of the day as close to every 2 1/2 hours as I can between unloading and driving.
some days I will pre cook turkey burgers and then eat them as a cold sandwhich in place of the turkey breast. or I will have turkey ham from the deli as a variation. Some days my breakfast is oats, and a mixture of yogurt and granola or I will mix my dry oats into my yogurt.

My dad drove a truck cross country for 32 years. I tip my hat to you.

Yeah my dad was gone 5 days a week and only home on the weekends. He gained quite a bit of weight from all the Stucky's food but eventually lost it. But unfortunately that lifestyle took a toll on him and he died of a heart attack at age 55. But he was a good man and a good father and I do miss him everyday but at least I can proud of him.

i hope that one day my kids will say that they were proud of me as well. heart attack at the age of 55 is very sad to hear. 55 isn't old. I got a pacemaker implanted at the age of 36 i'm now 40. I don't even need the darn thing now but decided to leave it in for future years.. Unless.. I can build my chest more and if I can do that then I may opt to have it taken out due to cosmetic reasons. Because it sits on TOP of the muscles so the bigger my chest gets the more noticeable it will become. But so far I haven't had to worry about that problem. I'm researching now to start my first cycle. I'm leaning toward my first cycle being Test E. Once I get more diet info and my workout critiqued then I will just need to be pointed in the right direction to get the right stuff in my hands.
