MAcros for Egg Whites
So I'm wondering how you guys calculate the macros for egg whites.
I've been calculating per 1 egg white:
Cal:15
Fat:0g
Carb:0g
Pro:3g
You guys think these are correct, or do you use other macros?

Depends on the size of the egg or the company that produces the liquid whites if you buy those.
But those macro's are just about right, prolly 3.5g protein and .25g carbs. Should be 0 fat. But there is no exact number for the reasons listed above.

Bino,
What about those dried egg whites? I hear a lot of people use them in shakes for meal replacement. Are those suitable as well? Like the Roseacre kind or something like that?

Never heard of dried egg whites before. Could someone post a link to them or the brand name. I am very interested in this.

I wouldnt see why not. The only thing to be concerned about when buying egg protein supplements is the filtration process, the protein is very heat sensitive and can easily be damaged if heating is involved in the manufacturing process.
I just use liquid egg whites myself and cook em up in an omlette.

I do not want to advertise for another Bodybuilding website, so I will just say that the brand I purchased was called "Rose Acre Farms Dried Egg Whites". If you google that I am sure you will find links to it. From my understanding, one scoop (one of the scoopers you would get out of most any protein bag/barrel) is 4 tablespoons, so you could get two servings of the dried kind with just one scoop. Beats the hell out of having to cook them if you are on the run. C Bino was talking about some of the science concerns behind dried vs natural so hopefully he can elaborate on it. I want to eat whats best, not whats easiest.

Is egg white powder the same as egg protein powder? It comes supplemented in powder form, like whey.
