    Drinking?

How much does drink effect a cycle? training?

Ive just read that 1 shot of Sambuca is 103 calories!! omg!!

But theres no fat, no protein, and 11 carbs....so how bad is it really?

If theres no fat in it, just a few carbs, should be alright in moderation?

That is alot of calories per shot though....but calories are good for bulking!!?

I know about liver damage, and drinking affecting training....

    Thanks guys.....

It is one extra drug you are making your liver process. Why put the strain on it.

I believe alcohol is 7 calories per gram. Alcohol also suppresses test levels to a mild degree. Look, if you are just in the gym to get big and get a bit leaner having some alcohol now and then is not going to hurt you or set you back that far. If you are serious about your dieting and training and looking to compete then cut it out completely as empty calories have no place in your diet.

Catabolic properties, dehydrating properties and how bout the fact it doesnt benefit you in any way!

No need to say much more, I wont preach to anyone cuz I dont give a rats ass if you drink or not. Do it all you want but it will only hinder gains and I never touch a single sip of it. Its utterly useless in every aspect of my life.

A friend of mine enters 2/3 comps each year and the night before he drinks wine, he say's he does this to dry himself out as much as possible. Have you heard this??

Yes, alcohol does have a diuretic effect but I think there are better ways of accomplishing this. Maybe he uses it to help him sleep, I know the night before a contest is usually not a restful one for me.
