Eating slow, eating fast...does it make a difference?
I am trying to follow Milos diet advise from the videos, and one of the things he said that every time you eat, your metabolism goes up, so I was wondering if I eat my meals slower would it stimulate my metabolism for longer periods of time? the time difference I am thinking of is 30 minutes vs. 10 minutes.

yeah sure why not, i would def think that slower is better if you don't let your meals go over 3 hours apart.

it would make more sense to me that the faster you ate the faster your body woul have to breakdown the food, hence speeding up the metabolism. but honestly it probably doesnt make any difference at all

logically it would make sense, but as is usually the case, logic fails in real-world scenarios, the speed at which you eat makes no difference in how fast your metabolism raises as when you ingest food your duodenum closes until the food is done digesting(in most cases at least)
now eating slower will cause you to eat less as it gives your body time to realize it's full

ummm.. guys if your counting your macros and eating the correct portions i dont care if you stuff your whole plate in your mouthand swollow it without chewing... get your macros right for each meal and eat away..
btw.. i eat really fast... it becomes a pain in the ass eating 6 to 8 times a day, i just wanna get it over with..

i also eat fast, i just cannot help it.
everyone does comment that i eat extremely quick, the quickest they have seen.
But imo i dont know if its a fact, im just going by my own logic, now the more you chew the food the better it may digest, or the quicker it will digest.
where eating fast may cause you not to chew it as much maybe???
but at the end of the day who cares, im hungry and im getting it down how i want
hehehe.

eating slower makes a difference if it means you chew your food more
this would maximize surface area to volume ratio when the enzymes are digesting the food and would ensure that more of the nutrients enter your body
Sometimes when I gobble down my mixed nuts/seeds at breakfast and don't chew enough, I sometimes see them come out the other end undigested .. sorry for the imagery but I was trying to prove a point
cheers

I chew halfway depending on what food it is.
If it's my 21st oz of chicken for the day - it goes down quick... if it's my 3rd piece of raw broccoli - I chew it like a cow.

Yup, you nailed it. DO NOT swallow food whole. Digestions begins in the mouth, with salivary amylase, and coating the food with saliva is going to help and the chewing motion also activate more gastric juices.
Eating super fast or swalling food whole will not allow for full absorption of nutrients.
