    Post workout

    Hello diet enthusiasts, i don't often venture over to this part of the forum.
    I have been having a can of tuna (100g) with my pwo shake for a couple of months now, for the extra protein. I recently heard it's best to wait 30mins once you have had your shake to eat. Would it be so bad if i continued to do this?

    the reason we say to have a shake and then wait around an hour is that whey protein is a fast digesting protein, whey takes around 45-60minutes to be digested and raise amino acid concentrations, from there though they start to decline to eating another meal an hour after the shake will allow a constant stream of aminos to take over where the shake left off
