why are peas different than other green veggies?
why are peas different than other green veggies?
anybody know? I hear things like eat these green veggies but not peas at this time. something like that
a cup of boiled peas has about 25 carbs and 9 grams of sugar
so sugar could be the difference?
only thing i can really think of.
maybe ask nark
who is nark? I am sure people on this board know of the difference because I got the impression from this board. never heard it anywhere else.
who is Nark? only the diet master!
haha ask him here http://forums.steroid.com/showthread.php?t=341121
or ask the peeps who gave you the idea in the first place.
I don't remember who those people are otherwise I would have asked them.
thanks
For anybody that was wondering about the answer to my peas question...
Nark says that peas have a much higher carb content than the other green veggies.
As per my reply via PM:
Peas are on par with starchy carbs so to speak.
It would be erroneous to utilize 'em in the place of fibrous carbs.
I'd use 'em in pro/carb meals alongside starchy carbs like potatoes, rice, pasta... replacing a portion of your carb allotment with peas/beans.
They'll reduce the GL of the meal and add favorable to both the fiber total and amino profile of the meal.
