    another how many question

So how many meals would it take to put my body at 100% for the gym (I know as many as possible is always the answer)?

    Is this ok?
    meal 1
7 full eggs, 1 cup brown rice, 1/2 cup white rice, large glass of milk

    Meal 2
16 oz grilled chicken breast (boneless, skinless), 1 large yam, 4 cups veggies (peas, broccoli, beans)
    Gym??

I think the diet gurus are going to want a tad more info. Are you trying to cut or bulk...What's your weight and activity level? Go ahead and calculate your total daily energy expenditure, they'll need that too.
In the meantime, hit some of the stickies at the top of the Diet forum.

Here's 2 links. One posted by Phate and one by jamyjamjr. They will show you how to calculate your TDEE.

I like to have at least 3-4 meals on board before hitting the gym. Anything less and I can feel the difference in strength and energy.

It might just be me, but I find it easier to write down/post the macros (P/C/F) and calories with each meal. It makes it easier for my tired old mind to keep up with what I'm doing and what I'm taking in throughout the day....Not saying I've got it down to a science ...it's just easier to analyze.

it would seem like if you're trying to keep your body at peak for the gym that you would spread your intake out semi-evenly into 5-6 meals per day....but that's just me.

I don't know if this was trying to be rude or not. I don't think so though. but I don't have my diet all figured out. that's exactly why you and phate created it for me a while ago. I just added a couple of meals and upped the quantities.

no you didn't. I just gained 6 pounds and added more food.
so you think that I should not eat that much? Is that bad? protein is pretty much evenly spaced out. about 16 oz at every meal.
I was eating 6oz and started losing so I upped it to 10 oz then started gaining then stopped. so i upped it again. did the same with steak and veggies and potatoes.

looks like we might have to take a look at your diet again??

based upon your tdee you should be taking in 3000kcal a day...

    300g protien
    300g carbs
    66g fats..

so you should even out ot 50-60g of protien and carbs per sitting...

    pay attention to your macros

    to be honest with you
jamy has giving you plenty advice and so many other guys.

Why would you say that? I took everything that everyone said into consideration and have already started to change my diet. Anyway I don't mean to come off like that... I appreciate all the help everyone gives out on here. My whole training schedule/diet/cycles/sleep regimen is all from the advice of the wiser on the board. I definitely don't want to seem like one of those little ungrateful newbs. sorry to anyone who took it differently

explaining myself (If I am told I am wrong I make appropriate changes), didn't start off that high; just kinda happened.

I think your response to jamyjamjr was the one that came off kind of funky...but that's water under the bridge. Sounds like your headed down that right road again.
