    bulk 10 cut 2-3 repeat

What do you guys think of this
every 10 lbs I bulk cut down two.
    for example 160-170 bulk
then cut down to 168 or so.

I would like to do this as I live in socal and need to look good on the beach.
any specific reason this is a bad idea?

Seems way too small of an amount. You wanna drop 2lbs after adding 10? Hell I can drop 2lbs taking a dump...how do you possibly think you are going to get accurate readings?

I add 10 clean but like to be at a low bf% (sub 8). so when I add 10 my abs fade away until you can only see them when I flex.

I only weigh 165 lbs at 6.5% bf (calipers). so if I add ten it is pretty obvious.
If I was 200+ it would be a different story. curious at what bf% do your abs disappear at? mine is like ten and that seems odd to me

Cause if that's you in your avi you are not 6.5% bodyfat and when your abs are disappearing you are not at 10% but around 13-14%.

caliper results will vary based on the experience of the trainer/time of day/measurements taken/time of day/overly hydrated, etc. all those factors can change measurements. use them as measuring methods-of course by the same standards listed above

If you are 6.5% that means you have 154 lbs of lean which means if you were to lose 1 lbs of fat you would be 6% on the nose and your avi and mine would look the exact same conditioning wise.

    sorry your not 6.5%

there are two ways of doing it, gaining slowly which means putting on some clean weight like fireguy said.

or another way is you bulk for longer enough, then you cut for longer enough, cause by the time you have done ten week bulk to diet down trust me you would most likely have put on to near no muscle.

you know if you want to look good for the beach and so on, just stay lean all the time.

but if you want to look leaner at a bigger weight sorry to tell you, you will have to do what bodybuilders do

    bulk .................................................. .......................... then cut

You have waaaaaayyyy more muscle than I do. so at 6% you look way better. All times I have gotten tested I have been under 10%. but I am not doubting you guys, only telling you what I have been told and I will go check my bf soon because I would like to know. I bet you guys are right.

and as for cutting and bulking I hear what you are saying so i will do that coming winter.

Considering what you want (look good on the beach)....just keep the diet good and do cardio and train throughout the summer. Look to bulk come winter time..you don't have the time to put on quality muscle and cut it up.

    photobucket.com and link it here.
