    from bulking to cutting

I am currently eating 4,000 k cals a day with a 30 protein/ 60 carb/ 10 fat split (more protein doesn't seen to help, but I do a lot of cardio) and I think it's about time to start a cut. I am thinking I will knock off 500 cals every few days untill I drop down to around 2,700 cals with a ratio the same. My diet is constantly changing as I am a student but mainly oatmeal, lean meat, whole wheat pasta, veggies, whey, cottage cheese, and milk. Does this sound acceptable? I have had a really hard time putting on or taking off weight, and have ended up loosing quite a bit of strength on the last time that I did a cut with 2,500 cals while not loosing much fat at all.

is your bf% accurate? Cutting really is about diet, training and fine tuning both to your body. Why were you doing so much cardio during a bulk?

^Agreed. Way too many carbs if your trying to cut 40% max while cutting but I go even lower than that.

10% is way too low for fats also.

I don't like dairy (milk, cottage cheese) while cutting either.
