Nuts
I've started my cutting diet cycle about two weeks ago. Whats are your guys's thoughts on snacking on trailmix and almonds between meals? Good/Bad?
-
Bad - nuts are high in fats. On a cutting diet they are counterproductive.

Fats...and from nut oils at that, are bad on a cutting diet?
LOL you have much to learn. No offense but if you believe fats are counterproductive when dieting I have to say its one of the worst peices of advice I have seen in a while.
But I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and allow you to explain your reasoning.
-
Well I should have elaborated - preworkout or something along those lines I feel nuts could be beneficial - however I think there are better ways to get fat, HEALTHIER ways to get fat such as Flax Seed oil, Fish oil etc... I mean it's just my opinion, but I don't feel nuts are a healthy way besides Pre WO.
Hey, if I'm wrong, I'm the first to retract my advice - just where I'm coming from.
-
And this;
Based on a 1oz. serving of trailmix (NOT COUNTING ALMONDS - which is barely anything;
217 calories
12.3g fat
2.3g sat fat
5.8 g protein
Again, he said to 'snack on, in between meals'. If he wants to add a select amount to his pre work out, I feel it'd be beneficial. However also - we don't know what his diet is through out the day - and if he is talking about once a day or etc. He did say "snack on between mealSSS"... so say he does it three times a day between meals, that is;
651 calories
36.9 fat
6.9 sat fat
17.4 pro
651 calories just from 'snacking' is not healthy IMO ; unless his meals are below 2,000 calories besides the nuts? This is a cutting diet, correct?

Almonds are a good source of fat. Throw out the trailmix. And sugar free gum is a good idea between meals.
For what its worth, I lost 50lbs and had almonds in my diet as well as omeg3 peanut butter.

It takes time to become big naturally and without belts of fat. He can say his opinion without having a weight of 250lbs.

first of all that was uncalled for.
second each person has their opinion and say
if it is the wrong advice or there is better advice to be giving we just correct and help each other learn.
dont go on about the way a person looks, how do you know thats the look he likes?????
