Low carb diets and thyroid levels.

I've heard a lot of times that long-term low carb diets can cause low levels of thyroid hormones especially T3. But I haven't yet saw any scienifically based proof of this.
I'm intrested in it because I am endomorph and tolerate carbs badly. So I go low carb all the time.
I think that a lot of guys who are also endomorphs are intrested in this aspect of low carb diets.
So do anybody knows something about it?

Make your carb loads once a week and check your blood.

Yeah, I know this, thanks Klimax.

I'm just wondering about the explanation of this phenomenon.
I haven't enough knowledge of biochemistry and endocrinology to explain this. And asked if some of you can do it
