Only solid food, carb with low gi and a fats in your diet should help. In any case don't eat too much under your tdee; it's better increase cardio.

May be you don't eat enough protein. It could be a reason of your hunger also. Eat green leafy vegs and don't forget about good fats.
And it's not unusual that you feel some hunger during a cut.

Fats will help keep you feeling fuller. Obv though, it depends on your diet plan whether or not you can afford them.

It might have something to do with what you are eating. Speaking for myself, I find that I get full quicker from a meal with fats compared to meals that are low fat even when the two meals have the same amount of calories.

I think it's all in your head ... mind over matter...

It's all about mouth-feel. If your body feels like it's eating something filling, then you won't be hungry. When I eat something with next to no fat, my body continues to feel hungry, no matter how many calories I eat.

This is the way that we have evolved. Our preference for fatty foods is what kept our ancestors from staying alive during hunter-gatherer times, which is what makes fatty foods so much more satisfying for us - psychologically and physically.

A trick that works for me is to drink 500ml of the coldest water you can get.. this will shrink your stomach and THEN you can have a snack like a can of tuna, a rice cake (zero to very very low carbs like 3-5grams) or a scoop of peanut butter and a scoop of zero cottage cheese... I personally get very very satisfied

best response so far in this thread IMO

I traditionally cut on a low-carb moderate fat and hi protein diet and never had the hunger issue

this time I'm doing the old-school low fat diet (60% P; 30% C; 10% F) and MORE calories than last yr (3000 kcals this yr vs 2700 last) and guess what, I start getting hunger pangs 30-45 mins after every meal and it's hell waiting for the next meal... your metabolism is revved up so fast that is burns through everything and there's no fat to create sustainable release of nutreints

I would never go below 20% fat in cutting or bulking.
