insuline spike from white bread and other proccessed grains

I got a hold of a blood suger tester from my diabeties buddy. Been testing my blood sugar levels after things such as white bread vs whole wheat bread, reg noodles vs whole wheat noodle, white rice vs brown rice and oatmeal vs sugar packeted oatmeal.

I found in myself that in the first three that there was litteraly no change in my insuline spiek between them. Regular oatmeal vs suage packeted oatmeal was the largest spike.


so post work out if your looking for an insuline spike try sugar packeted oatmeal. I use cinnamin swirl has 33 carbs and 14g sugar, two packets of those and im good to go.

Bodybuilding is all about experimenting and I applaud you. However, did you test yourself more than once after consuming each food? How long after eating did you test yourself? Id be willing to bet if you test yourself several times over the course of a few hours before and after eating, you would discover some interesting things.

Good question.

I would always do it 45 min after eating. And it was my assumption you wanted the quickest insulin spikes, I didn't think of length, i don't extended insuline spikes, i just want immediate, then a drop off. So two hours down the road doesn't interest me as much, but i also not dieting right now.

Ill have to get it back from him. I only had it for about ten days then he said he needed it back. But those strips are like a buck a piece almost!, almost made me broke
