has there been any scientific proof that small amounts of milk is bad for a cut? Besides it's calorie content, which anyone can fit into their daily calorie consumption, are there any other negative effects from milk when cutting?
Some people say not to have milk even in your coffee when strictly cutting? a small amount of milk has hardly any calories, so what is the big problem with milk? I have heard it can make your skin look thicker? is there any scientific proof?
As far as I'm aware, the main reason people stay away from it is because it contains lactose which is a form of sugar. If it fits into your macros or especially if you're just using a splash of it in your coffee, I don't think you have anything to worry about.
Also, don't forget about the fat content.
I have whole milk in my cup of tea even when losing weight for boxing and its never done me any harm pal. Made no difference whatsoever.

absolutely. My biggest problem in my diet in the past was the sugar. I didnt know what a negative effect sugar has on the fat loosing process. If I knew this 2 years ago my bf would be a lot lower than it is now.....Quote:

Yep you can thank the beta 1-4 linkages that are difficult for the body to break down for milks low GI an GL. I have posted either here or somewhere else a couple studies about milk and its usual purposes in BB. I am of the opinion that its like many other nutrients, it has its place in BB. If your going to consume a carb source while cutting I would think that something with a very low GI would be a appropriate choice, What do you guys think Jamy and fireguy???
I will have it now and then but not a huge milk drinker. I usually cut it out of my diet for contest prep at about 8 weeks out. Bino had some really good info in this thread.

iv had nark pull milk out of my diet back in the days.... so iv always been against it....
but im always open to new things. always trying to learn the "next" best thing..
i dont go near milk, too many problems start occuring when i used to drink milk.
but of course it all depends on individual i just dont go near it and dont believe in it.
