Whatsup all.
I'm an experienced weight lifter. I've had personal trainers and everything and my body's not bad....but I want to get cut.
I have always been conflicting info on diet, however.
SO
1) Right now I am counting my calories dilligently.
MY TDEE is 3957
I workout Mon - Thursday 4x week (weights 1hr+45 mins cardio at around 70-75% MHR), Friday =1 cardio day, Saturday = one HIIT sprinting 20mins day
Sunday = off to cheat, sometimes I will make my cheat on Saturday. It depends on whether I feel like eating out.
Some days I take in 1500 cals, some 2000 cals, some 2500cals.
I do this because I think I am tricking my metabolism. Please read everything else before replying.
By not having the same EXACT FOODS I think I am doing the right thing.
I automatically cycle carbs obviously because the food choices are different.
2) HOwever, even though **I count cals perfectly,** my sources are not set in stone, in other words, I eat what I want, as long as it is measureable to the gram.
But everything is measured to a T (perfectly)
3) I do once a week cheat day...and that I do to prevent starvation mode even more, and I try to make it more than my TDEE (3797 cals is a lot when you think about it).
I am 5'6
240lbs
24yrs old
I want to be be 210lbs
No idea of bf%, but I wear 36 inch pants....maybe that can help
*** PLEASE NOTE***
I don"t know if it is because I still have a lot to lose, but no matter how low I go (I've even done nutrisystem) I NEVER LOSE MUSCLE MASS>
In fact, I gain mass very easily.
I am very energetic, and very muscular (not to brag just setting the stage here). If anything, I will gain muscle.
Been training since I was 15.
If I could get this clarified that would be great.
I am in week 2 of this, lost 8lbs so far and I am seeing results.
I have dieted similar to this before, via a plethora of diets. My Dad also diets this way , he never loses muscle.
If ppl can give me input on this, their views, and possibilities of this plz reply.
I can keep a log if you guys want.
