Protein per pound? 1x, 1.5x, 2x?
What do you guys think?
What are you using?
I kinda think that many are overdoing their protein.
Especially when bulking (because of the fat, and carb calories you can take in less pro).
Actually saw a DVD with jay cutler and he takes in 300g protein in the offseason.... That's something to think about, mr olympia 3x
He takes in about.. 600 in the season I seem to remember

its based on your split van..
i eat about 400g a day myself for my size..
i like the 300 range, it's comfortable (unless your going keto, then your pro and fat need to be higher usually)

Yes it sure is.
if you go 40%, 40%, 20%. Then the amount of protein kind of is decided by itself.
But many go with different splits when bulking..
For example people that gain fat easily, often take in more pro, less carb.
And for the extreme skinny, 50-60% carb, and so on!
So there will be a good difference in there.
I will try 1.5 this bulking! I think it's plenty. Especially when some pros even dont consume mroe!

If you can tolerate good carbs 1.5 g of pro/pound of lbm and 50%carbs of daily caloric intake ( the rest of Kals by fats) would be a starting point; but the best would be do the work of Jamy's sticky and have a more accurate diet for you imho.

mine is currently at 2x
depends on your diet strategy... if u do an "old-school" low fat cutter, you need to bump up calories somehow without using fat and overdoing the carbs also... so protein works as a "filler" somewhat
however, when I bulk, I can drop the protein to about 1.5x
