How do you eat 6 times a day?

I just wanted to say I'm amazed how lucky those of you are that are able to eat 6 meals a day. How do you do it? I go to school and work full-time time. I would like to start a cycle, but from what I've been reading it's pointless in my case. I basically get up at 7am, and don't stop going until the evening, sometimes later depending on work. Hell, I'm only able to fit the gym into my schedule 3 times a week.. Any suggestions for foods on the go or stuff things I can eat in 5 minutes besides protein shakes? I just don't have time to spend cooking up all my meals on a daily basis. What do you guys do on a day where you'll be busy ALL day?
    Thanks

hi welcome to the board......most of us pick a day to precook all our meals and store them in tupperware type containers....that way you can pack a bag of food in the mornigs before we go and eat when the appropriate time comes.....its pretty easy really...most of us hear work full time and are busy as hell too but if you want it bad enough then you find a way to get it done.....good luck....

Cook all of you meals at once, I usually cook about 2-4 chicken breast depending on the size of them in the oven at once, make the rice, and the veggies all at once in a large portion. Put them in some kind of tuperware and take them to work or wherever. Sucks to eat them cold but put some salsa on them and you are good to go. It doesn't taste that great but its full of protein and carbs haha

No, you're right I have plenty of time in the evening, but I guess my bigger problem is time to eat, especially from the morning until about 1pm. After that I can spare time to eat. Early in the day it's difficult. I had another question... after cooking fish, how long will it keep in the fridge? I have cod fillets in the freezer now...

Not sure on how long the fish will keep. When you are busy "tupperwear is your best friend". Just pack your precooked food with you and eat it when needed. I think you will find eating on the run doesnt take nearly as long as you think when you have precooked food with you.

I'd like to mention I cooked up 2 and half pounds of chicken breast. I put seasoning salt on them, high in sodium I know, but I gotta put something on 'em. Should last me for a few days. Thanks for all of the input fellas. In hind sight, I guess I was being kind of whiny.

If time is an issue, then its all about prep. Cook in bulk. Get yourself a load of lunchboxes, plastic containers. I try and eat any chicken or turkey I cook within 3 days. Remember though, any stews you make or whatever can be frozen down and put into a plastic container. Then reheat that sucker the next day in the microwave. Its an instant meal and you didnt have to faff around cooking if time really is an issue. Buy in bulk and cook in bulk and freeze in bulk.

    Eating on the run

I work full-time and go to school full-time. Sunday is my cooking night.

I have started to become a champ at eating tuna out of a bag while driving and also as fast as I eat, only a few minutes are needed for most meals. I agree with the above statement about if you want it you will find time. If you are at work you can always bring a little cooler to hold your food and grab on the go. Good Luck!

Its really not as hard as it seems. I mean if you mix a can of tuna with alil mayo and put it in a GLAD container you can literlly eat that in less then 2 minutes.

When I cook dinner I usually make 2 servings and save one for the next day. I.E 1lb of lean ground turkey pan fried with some tomato souce and chili powder. Eat half and put half in a glad container, then the next day it would take less then 5 minutes to microwave and eat it. If you want this to be a carb meal just mix in 1 cup of brown rice. It basically taste like sloppy joes mixed in with brown rice, it taste really good

You can make all the excuses you want. I did the same for years. You will never have the time to work out or eat properly until you make it a life style change. I eat all day, every day now and it's normal. you can eat in class, have a snack on something healthy. I doubt the teacher is going to say shit if you pull out some apple, banana, orange wedges or anything you can just put in your mouth without setting up a 4 course meal. Learn to eat, not have full blown meals all day.

I keep food at my work I snack on all day, I take a banana or?? in the car when I go somewhere. I just make sure I have food so I can snack. If I wake up during the night I eat a banana or some yogurt before going back to sleep or a protein shake.

Ok i use to do the same thing and make excuses and reasons why i cant eat 6-8 times a day. Im 5-10 and until last year never weighed more then 150. I still dont have a huge appitite but, i remeber reading here one time that " you dont eat because you are hungry you eat because you have too" or something along those perimitors.

But as far as cooking goes, this i think would be a helpful to anyone that precooks their meals. I got the George Foreman Grill which i think alot of people have, but the new one out there is the INDOOR/OUTDOOR BARBEQUE!!! I just got finished cooking a couple meals for the week. I was able to cook, 8..8oz chicken breats and 4 1/2# turkey burgers at one time. And only took maybe 8-10 minutes tops!!! I think this should be an investment everyone should make in the future. Not sure on the price because it was a gift, but shouldnt matter, its diffently worth it.
