x2!! If you have the discipline, avoid mayo and creamy dressings like ranch. Also avoid fatty proteins except for salmon and get your fat via lots of nuts, nut butter, and avocados. You'll be better off. But you'll lose fat either way!

I find nuts to have a lot of carbs.
How do you deal with them?

They don't have lots of carbs at all. Maybe 5-7g per serving or so but remember, at least 4g of that is from fiber and doesn't count towards your net carb count for the day which should be 20ish. If you're eating meat/veg/avocados/nuts only you will not exceed that, provided you're not going crazy with cals.

Put your asparagus in the broiler w/ a ton of EVOO and aged permesan cheese and black pepper until they are slightly charred. Let me live vicariously through you!
