    Fat under the muscle?

I have about 1/2 inch layer of fat cover my abs - I can confirm this by flexing my abs and 'pressing'. However, I still have this sort of 'ball' in my stomach where it isn't completely flat. I don't drink and am on a relatively low carb diet, so I don't think it's bloating or water retention. Is it possible that there is also fat under the muscle?

fat in the abdomen is common and with morbidly obese people can split their abdominal muscles in half. Idk if that is what you have but just stick with cardio and diet and you will get there.

Very obese people cen develop that, but just like all other fat the cells will shrink with proper diet and exercise.
