I'm dieting and up my protein and fat, while dropping carbs. This comes to be about 40g protein, 25g fat. Thought I'd share with everyone. I'm eating these NOW.
Giant meat balls, makes 7 meals for about $1.50 per meal.
3 lb ground meat
1 1/2 cup pecorino romano cheese
3 tbsp oregano
3 egg
9 cloves garlic minced
1 1/2 tbsp basil(try to chop ur own fresh)
5 slices of natural whole wheat bread (toast it, and break the bread apart into crumbs)
1 1/2 - 2 yellow onion chopped
3 tsp parsley.
in a big bowl mix everything except the bread crumbs and try to make a meat ball if it wont hold add the bread crumbs 1 tbsp at a time until it holds together.
in a non stick skillet use some pam and brown them off then finish them in the oven at 350 for 40 min (cook them IN your favorite sauce when you bake them)
