    Beefjerky

    Thinking of buying a dehydrator. Anybody make there own. I was thinking of making some salt free, with just pepper or red pepper.Anybody use it for a road snack, or snack when you cannot eat a meal? pro's/con's.

    all the time. But I just buy it from the store. I don't care about salt content.

    just do it in your oven. set it to the lowest temp and cook it for like 8 hours or so.

    I love it, great fast protein. But it's just so damn expensive...

    yes dehydrator is the best, mine can take 20 trays and i make 30 pounds at a time. you turn it on in the evening and its ready the next morning....use London broil beef...
