how many grams of carbs and fats do you guys eat when you bulk?

I usually do 2g of carbs per lb and 0.5 fats per lb. What about you guys? think this is enough? too much?

edit: this only applies to when you are on a cycle

I dont even count really, as long as I get enough protein in then the rest is fair game. Eating becomes more instinctive rather than eating xy amount at xy time and hitting xy # of carbs and fats. If I'm not on cycle my protien is around 300 grams/day, if I'm running gear then I'm anywhere from 4-500 grams/day

this approach usually fails for me. I need to know how many carbs specifically I am getting in for the most part, since I get enough protein in the process

just stick to a 40/40/20 split at 500-700 over your tdee and see how that works---if it dont adjust from there

I've never really understood the whole "40/40/20" or whatever thing. So technically 40% of my cals should come from protein and carbs? meaning 1400 if I am on a 3500 calorie diet? How do i calculate grams of protein and carbs, based on 1400? and how about fats based on the 20%?

    if ur total cals are 3000 for example then u would eat 300gr pro 300gr carbs 65gr fat-----3000 x 40%=1200 divided by 4 for pro/carbs and 3000 x 20%=600 divided by 9 for fat

thank you! that means with 3500, my macros should be 350/350/77.8 if i did 40/40/20. The protein seems way too highly unnecessary though, although I know with juice, your body absorbs more protein

how tall are you? your avi looks really good. Yea eating that much protein as a natural is highly unnecessary but I am not natural anymore so I think more protein is needed

Iv'e always like the 45/35/20 ratio macronutrient principle 1.5-2 grams of protein per pound of body wieght.

So if you weigh 200 lbs and your trying to bulk thats 400g of protien 35% of daily intake

roughly 500g-600g of carbs daily ( complex and low-glycemic except post workout IMO )

and roughly 200g of fat daily ( good fats, mostly, if you can )

so divide that up into how ever many meals you eat a day ( I eat 6-7 not counting nightime casin shake so if you do that you can subtract that from you protein intake and adjust the rest acordingly, so for fun lets say -50g )

Thats 350 grams of whole food protien ( unless u also do a post workout shake then subtract that and adjust acordingly again to the proper ration of carbs and fat )

But we will just go with 350... sounds good

    58g protein per meal

    90g carbs per meal (roughly)

    30g fat per meal (roughly)

If that doesn't bulk u up then it sucks to be you

I honestly keep my protien no more than 40g-50g per meal + shake is just over 300g daily (roughly)

and my carbs 50g-60g per meal

    fat 20g-30g per meal

I weigh 213 with a low body fat and currently no cardio

I have my cycle diet set up like this

    275p/395c/95f 3,533cals

and I am 5'9 190lbs relatively low bf. Using the calorie calculator I should be taking in around 3000 cals to maintain based on my activity level so I figure this will help bulk me up without adding fat
