    Quinoa Questions

Not to familiar with quinoa just wondering any recipes or uses people may have for this or any other info they can think of that may be helpful in using quinoa in dieting?

Great source of low-gi carbs (pseudocereal).
I used it a lot during my first cycle and had amazing results.
So, my advice is GO FOR IT!

I just bought red quinoa this past weekend - never had it before. I cooked some plain just to get an idea of the taste without anything... pretty wretched so i'm also in the market for some recipes.

Not only a great low-gi carb as BJJ mentioned, but also a complete protein source!

I mix up quinoa, tuna, mashed sweet potato, olive oil and balsamic vinigar.

    Sounds terrible but tastes amazing

Well I take a whole lot of sweet potatoes and slice them up thin. I then put them on a baking tray and sprinkle olive oil over. I then bake it until lightyly brown and keep in the fridge for when I need.
For the mix I will add 1 can tuna, 4 table spoons cooked quinoa, and about 15 slices of the sweet potato. I will slice and mash them all up together and add 2 capfuls of olive oil and 3 capfuls of balsamic vinigar. Mix in and eat = amazing!

I also make a quinoa porrige in the morning instead of oats.
I take 1 cup cooked quinoa in a bowl, add a a small amount of milk to make moist. I then put it in the microwave for a minute. I then pour boiling water over to make in to a porrige. I add 1 scoop protein powder, sliced banana, natty peanut butter and cinimon. Much more protein than oats because of the complete protein in quinoa and I think it tastes much better too
