    Palumbo diet vs. CKD?

I am just looking for personal experiences on both. I am looking into a 4-6 week cutting diet before a cycle. Trying to be as low BF before I start. I am just wondering who like which and the results they got. My cycle will be a lean bulk cycle a few week from now. Looking to shed about 2%BF in these 4-6 weeks of one of these diets. Was there noticable fat loss in this time frame with lean mass kept, and seems like a lot of people have maintain or even gained strength on bot these diets. Just curious

In preparation for my 1st cycle, I wanted to get as lean as possible. So I ran a Palumbo Keto type diet for 4 weeks. All good fats and mostly fish as protein. I dunno if Big K posts here anymore but he's very knowledgeable about that type of diet and gave me good advice.

I was planning on running it for 8 weeks at least, but I was able to cut from 12% to 9% in 4 weeks. Granted, I did LIT almost every day. I am yet to try CKD. One thing I can say for sure is my lifts didn't go up that month, I felt depleted, and my energy was down. Of course, I was very happy with the results!

I've seen some guys look great doing Palumbo's diet, and I've seen that diet destroy other physiques. Everybody is different. I could never do a diet like that, I'm pro carb like you wouldn't believe. I think if you can find a way to lose bodyfat while still keeping carbs in the diet you can look healthy, pumped, huge, strong. Also, the low carb approach makes it hard to achieve a pump in the muscles anymore. But the only way you'll know is if you try it out, it works for a huge # of people

I definitely had minimal pump, that's for sure.

Well, seems like good results for fat loss can be achieved. I'll give it 4 weeks and see how it goes.

One is a straight keto diet, the other involves a weekly refeed. Palumbo is all healthy fat sources, not 65% cals from fat by any means necessary.

So when it comes to the cheat meals, should all carbs come from complex carbs in both diets. I know to stay away from frutose. Also with palumbos diet, how many carbs for a cheat meal, can't find this.

see, here is the problem I have with keto diets; why are they even necessary? Think about it, your doing cardio, your already eating very clean, and your lifting your ass off, what more do you need to do? Why put yourself in such a deprivation mode the body catabolizes itself? Carbs keep the muscles big, I dont care who says what carbs transport the necessary water and nutrients into the muscles. Also, the bulk of people's systems utilize clean carbs better throughout the day rather than just loading the body with fats. Why would you ruin the entire years worth of training by losing all of that hard earned muscle?

my view is to cut BF quickly, however I agree that once at desired levels carbs are needed. but I am far from an expert, I am basing that on when I was 10% BF and eat lots of carbs just timed them right.

Some respond better than others. I don't make gains or get pumped on keto but I fill back out as soon as I carb-up. You know your stuff but you're not giving keto diets enough credit, they don't damage years of hard work unless you were to stay on one forever without a carb-up. Carbs are great, I eat carbs but I fully endorse keto diets for people who are in a hurry to drop some fat before beginning a cycle or going on a beach vacation, or whatever. If it's gonna be run by sum1 who's already at a low bf% or for more than 60-90 days, I can see the issue.
