Im on a diet, its posted and refined on this section,, here is my question.. is there a limit to the green tea intake?
currently after my cup of coffee in the am with breakfast i take my daily meal to work along with 2- 32ounce jugs of brewed green tea,, (yeah i brewed it on the stove top, then chill it no sugar and drink it all day) dinner i drink about 2 glasses of water with 100% lemmon juice then at gym i take another one of those jugs with me,,, thats about 96 ounces of tea a day, plus water is that too much tea or is it fine,,,

I actually do the same as sip green tea all day. I used to use 2 tea bags for every 2 litres, but now I use one.

Caffeine content can vary greatly with green tea, but try to use 1 tea bag for every 2 litres.

I also drink water with lemon juice or blood orange juice with parsely in it. I have my clients on this also. Leave it to brew all night.

Why only use 1 green tea bag for every 2 litres? I would assume the more you use the more ECGC your body gets which I assume is a good thing. I consume 3 glasses of green tea per day which in turn is 6 tea bags (organic). Is this overkill?

Because of the caffeiene. I dont like a lot caffeine, I'm fairly sensitive too it.

It also stimulates the adrenals to secrete cortisol.

Its debatable if ECGC causes the body to burn more fat, but if you subscribe to that idea, then one could use more green tea bags daily.

I see...yeah I'm not that sensitive to caffeine. I have taken 400mg before my workouts and I wasn't "cracked" out. I have heard that about cortisol and caffeine so I try to limit my intake now. I think there's around 48mg caffeine per tea bag so I see how it could add up. I would like to think that all the vit c I am taking will help offset the cortisol build-up.
