Dave Palumbo/ketosis diet for a female?

I am considering putting my girl on a ketosis diet. I've never done a ketosis diet myself. Can the Palumbo diet be modified to a female's dietary needs? She is not a bodybuilder and simply wants to lose 10-15 lbs of fat. She is 5'3 and about 120 lbs. She would be doing fasted AM cardio 5x a week and light resistance training in the PM 5x a week. She wants results quickly (don't they all?) so I thought ketosis will be a good fit for her. Any thoughts, advice?

Really, I don't see how the diet would have to differ for a female. I suppose, bone density is more of an issue but there's plenty of low-carb calcium supps out there. In fact, my only female client at the moment looks and feels great on a keto diet with no fruit/yogurt/granola and all the other sh*t women are "supposed" to eat, lol.

I cut from 12% bf to 9% in 4-weeks on Palumbo keto. However, I did lose strength despite only a small caloric deficit and a pretty aggressive lifting regiment. You should definitely make sure her resistance training is in check and that her fasted cardio is LIT to ensure she doesn't lose a lot of LBM. Also, make sure she gets most of her fats from oils and fatty protein sources such as salmon and trout. Limit veggies to brocolli, asparagus, spinach ideally. Some people require so few carbs to maintain ketosis that nuts, green beans, and other hidden carbs are enough to defeat the purpose of the diet. Sure, you can lose weight regardless but if ketosis isn't maintained and the dieter is already doing cardio, I don't think a keto diet is the best vehicle to lose 10-15 lbs with, at that point. Does this make sense?
