How Do I Figure Out How Many Calories A Day?????
I was wondering how to figure out how many calories per day I should be eating so I can lose 1 pond of body fat per week and retain AS MUCH MUSCLE AS POSSIBLE!! I wantto eat enough so I dont go into starvation mode but I really have no clue how to figure my calorie amount per day out.
Does it have aything to do with my Basal Metabolic rate?
any help is GREATLY APPRECIATED

At 176 lbs....you should be eating "roughly" between 2700-almost 3000 calories a day. So subtract 500 calories a day.....and in a week thast should give about 1 pound of fat loss. My calculations might be off a little.

i had a really cool calorie calculator that someone on one of my boards wrote, but my f@#$ing power supply melted my hard drive. i'll try to look for it again

Im also 176 but im 5'10 does that make a differnce in the calories i should take in a day?

xplicit- no, height does'nt play a role in calorie intake. Weight and lean body mass does.

I did the formula thing and weight was a factor cause you have to do
5 times the cm you are.
66 + (13.7x 76kgs) + (5x178cm) - (6.8x22 years)
1847.6
x 1.725
3187.
