Thread: how many cals should you consume on cycle?

    how many cals should you consume on cycle?

    anyone know how many cals above maintainance you should consume on a bulking cycle? i think its 500 cals above right?

    I am 5'10.5 183 pounds on 2nd cycle which is

    Test C 750mg 1-16
    A-drol 100mg 1-6

    followed by pct a for a month

    It all depends on your body type but yes, 400-500 is a general guideline

    400 - 500 above? Psh.. Eat as many calories as you can. You're on a bulking cycle lol. Just eat healthy though

    Agreed!

    You need to find your own maintenance level and up it from there...
    500+ from there is a fine guideline...

    keep in mind though, while you add more lean body mass, you'll have to up those calories to keep gaining.

    At maintainance or 300ish below?

    this is how you figure it out, you take your BMR, base metabolic rate, mine for example is 2021calories. Then you need to know your TDEE (total daily energy expendeture) how many cals you burn given your activity level, mine is 3271cals. THe rule is usually when your on a cutting cycle, such as myself, i have been on one for about 1 month, you take in 500cals less then your TDEE so i am generally taking in 2700cals. If i were bulking i would be taking in 500+ TDEE so i would be taking in 3700 cals/day. Knowing this you adjust your macros for protein/carbs/fat to reach that number cals. Hope that helps.
