Anything processed is not good. More salt and preservatives. I never eat cold cuts, even when bulking. I wouldn't be surprised if there's turkey head in that turkey. Do turkeys have balls? They might be in there too!

cgb is right my. Check out the sodium content for boar's head online. It will shock you! If your looking for cheap protein go with those rotisserie chickens they sell already cooked everywhere. Granted there is still sodium but not nearly on the level of deli meat.

I have to admit, I eat a lot of crap in the off season. Sweet stuff is my weakness. The processed meat though is just such a turn off. Don't let me hold you back bro, if you like it, eat it.

I'm the same exact way..... chocolate, cookies, ice cream..... frickin cold stone..... I love it all. I don't go overboard tho and keep my bf low regardless.

The processed meat never appealed to me. Coldcuts have always put me off.....

I have no problem staying away from the sweete but i like my cold cuts. I know they're full of salt so I keep it in moderation as part of a mid day meal. Cmon- a fresh half pound of boars head turkey or ham? Good stuff

They may be full of sodium/preservatives but as far as macronutrients, as long as it's a lean cut, they are pretty good. There are plenty of cold cuts out there with 20+g of protein per 100g with only a few grams of fat/carbs. Turkey is usually one of the better ones.

    Love the Avy MuscleCommand!

OP, sorry for the hijack. I eat cold cuts sparingly, usually i'll have a sandwich on the weekends where i'm more lenient with my diet. The sodium and nitrates/nitrites to preserve it though are something to think about...
