Cereal and bagels are not good simple carbs for post workout. Those are much slower digesting than what you need at that time.
Gatorade wuill work but I would use dextrose.
Post workout you need some fast metabolizing carbs(sugars) to flush nutrients to your muscles as fast as possible to prevent catabolism.
Best post workout replenishment is 40g dextrose and 50g Whey protein.
No you could use Gatorade mixed with protein, some use a couple Tblspns of honey, and MRP's are made with roughly 30-40g of Maltodextrose which will work fine as well.
