Rough estimate
Is there anyway of estimating even roughly how long it takes to say go from 16% bf to 8-10% bf??
With strict dieting and training of course...

yes, you can calculate exactly how long, assuming you know things like metabolic rate, exact bf%, cardio impact on metabolic rate(calories burned during and after cardio), weight lifting impact on metabolic rate, exact totals for diet, etc...etc....
for a rough estimate you could do it with much less but to tell you the truth, unless you are dieting perfectly each and every day it will be wayyy off, every thing you eat that isn't factored throws off the calculations and increases variance from the mean(plus or minus how long it would take to achieve your goal)

It's not super critical. It's not for pre-comp it's just for summer! So if I'm out by a few weeks it won't matter! But from ur experience can u say 2-3 months of strict dieting and training would get me close?

depends on your weight, there is a big difference between 16% for a 6'6 300lb guy and a 6'0 175lb guy
but yeah, 10-12 weeks is what most pros use to get down to competition levels so that should be plenty of time
you must be from austrailia or somewhere like that if your summer is coming up right?

Theoreticly you have 30lbs of fat
If you loose 15 and maintain all your lbm you would be around 8%
Loosing 1.5lb per week thats 10 weeks
However i think your fat loss woupd slow down around 12%
I would think around 12-14 weeks would be a safe bet
