    Good Natural Peanut Butter?

Does anyone know of a good natural peanut butter I can pick up? Not even sure if we are allowed to mention brand names or not, but if so let me know. Someone suggested I incorporate a tbsp. of peanut butter in my daily diet so I'd like to pick some up soon.

    thanks.

I just go for the stuff at Costco. Not natural, because it doesn't keep seperating either. But it is a heck of a lot easier than natural, and almost as good, imho.

because the creamy skippy that I eat has
sugar and hydrogenated vegetable oil in it (which isn't good)
but it also says 0 trans fat which contradicts the hydro veg oil

but if you are not afraid of some sugar
(3 grams of sugar per 32 grams per serving, or about 10% by weight), then you'll be fine.

It's half the price of the "natural" stuff, and twice as easy to use (no stirring)

imho, it's a fair trade off.

as I get older, most of the stuff I eat is NOT because it tastes good.

But you are right, mate. The natural IS better than the Skippy Creamy I eat. But as far as how much better it is for my body, I'd probably have to say....

    Not much

Just a personal decision for me.

    if you look here...
What Supplements are you Currently Taking?
you will see my list of OTC supplements I take. My point is I pretty much take or eat everything for a specific reason.... flavor is usually not a reason for me to eat something. But with the PB, I don't see that much of a difference, so I save a couple of bucks and get the Costco stuff

I've recently switched to the Skippy 'Natural' Super Chunk. I question them calling it natural though, as it contains palm oil and sugar. I used to get the Nature's Promise (Stop and Shop healthy line) brand natural, but the skippy just tastes so much better!

I go to my health food store, "Good Foods Grocery" - it's a chain. They have a whole section of organic nuts that you grind into butter, put in your own container and label yourself. And despite the quality, it's still fairly cheap because nobody had to process/package it for you. My new thing is sprouted peanut butter. Less saturated fat, more protein, easier to digest, and tastes better.

Before I found this place however, I just bought Organic Smuckers - no sugar added; just peanuts and less than 1% salt. Why bother with other "natural" PB brands that have as much as 3g sugar per serving when Smuckers is just as cheap and makes such a quality product.

Health food stores usually have a machine that grinds the peanuts into peanut butter, fill your own container.

Smartbalance is pretty good. I would say it is a compromise between the all natural stuff that separates into two layers, and the super-processed brands. It doesn't separate, but it has a little bit of sugar in it which I don't mind.

Wow guys! thanks for all your Feedback! I have a local health food chain where I live I will see if they grind nuts into butter <--- sounds a little funny.

if not will try the organic smuckers! either way, thanks guys.
