oatmeal cookies
Im still rounding out my diet so i can post it on here for critique.
stats= 30yrs, 6ft, 170, very low body fat
Im usually rushed in the mornings but im trying to stuff down as much oatmeal as I can and I was wondering what you guys think about oatmeal cookies vs the reg stuff. Not store bought, but mama's homemade from real oatmeal with no preservatives. I know they got butter and sugar and shit in them, but is this a good substitute for a few days out of the week? Thanks for helping

nope Horrible substitute for plain oats. Quick oats take two minutes. (i just made some as a matter of fact) That sugar and fat in oatmeal cookies is no way to start your day. What kinda protien source are you eating in the morning?

I can MW my plain oats in 3.5 minutes. Stir in a scoop of protein powder, and a big tall glass of milk, grab a quick banana, and first meal of the day is complete.

Oatmeal,splenda,lil water, mix and cook in microwave until hard about 4 mins
Makes ok cookies but in the time it took to do that you could have mixed the oats with water or milk and drunk them

Moms oatmeal cookies also have flour in them. Usually 1:2 ratio of flour to oats.

Definitely a bad idea. You're asking of a cookie made with butter, sugar, flour, etc is a decent replacement for a natural whole grain breakfast of oats? C'mon man!
What you CAN do is make your own oatmeal cookies, if you're that dead set against making some quick oats in the am (which are done in the microwave in a minute and 30 secs). Check the recipe sub forum and I know there are some there, or just do a general google search. They should consist of whole oats, splenda, cinnamon, natty applesauce (this is the 'butter' component), and probably some protein powder and maybe a few other things - PB is a popular choice.
