    Powdered peanut butter?

I LOVE peanut butter but seeing as how I'm trying to lose some weight, I've decided to eliminate it from my diet because of fat and calories. I recently came across a powdered peanut butter by a company called PB2. They say you mix 2 tbsp with water and then eat it like regular peanut butter. I imagine you could mix it with shakes and yogurt, also, or even sprinkle it on fruit. At just 45 calories and 1.5 grams of fat per serving, it'd sure be a lot healthier.

Has anyone heard of or tried this stuff before?

I LOVE that stuff. It's awesome in cottage cheese or in protein shakes. It tastes just like peanut butter, and I really like that it's just peanuts with the oil removed and doesn't have a bunch of other garbage in it.

Are you certain about this? What are the EXACT ingredients? If this is true, the I say go for it PP. If it's processed crap, i'd stay way.

According to the website, the only 3 ingredients are roasted peanuts, sugar and salt. The reviews on amazon are pretty good and after having someone from here vouch for it, too, I think I'll give it a try.

Ugh, the added sugar stinks. How many grams of sugar per serving? Look at the ingredients for natural peanut butter. Peanuts and salt, that's it. If there's a gram or two, it's no big deal - but any more and it's not on par with natural PB IMO.

The powdered PB has 1 gram of sugar per serving. I had thought about the natural stuff, but isn't that still kind of high in fats and calories?

PB is high in fat although it's mostly good fats. However, it's way too easy to overeat because it's so damn good! Tell me, can u eat just 1 tsp? I know I can't lol!

Having said that - 1g of sugar is nothing to worry about. I say enjoy it!

Uhhh.. this blows my mind! I had to cut the peanut butter down to 2 tablespoons a day during my cut so this looks promising.

I just got it in the mail today and max wasn't lying; it genuinely tastes just like peanut butter. I mixed it with some fat free greek yogurt, added a couple packs of truvia and put it in the freezer for a few hours... the result was a completely guilt free, low fat/calorie dessert. I may never eat ice cream again, this stuff is so good.

Good stuff! I'll have to start recommending it. Peanut butter is very healthy but let's face it, lower calories are king unless you're a big, lean person trying to get even bigger.

I sure hope you guys are in jeopardy of going over your daily limits and thats why the need for this. I am in total agreement with you concerning the product in fact I'm getting it for my daughter ( college student) to make some good dessert snacks, and I most definitely will eat it myself. However, the essential fats are just that, essential! They are the next real important delivery system in the body to get rid of fat storage, time eludes me to go into all that but just so none of you are trying for a low fat diet. If you are, know this, every major university study since 1989 has proved that low fat diets do not drop body fat! it increases it!

I wish is wasn't so but sure glad it is. Remember essential means essential! You gotta have it for the body's natural peak performance. Now excuse me I'm going to go order me some of this stuff, thanks for the link gbrice,

Obviously. PB is healthy because it's high in monounsaturated fat. At 9 calories per gram, only the smallest of portions is really acceptable. Therefore, the need for this product is evident for some.

Waldon Farms makes a calorie free peanut butter stuff. I think it is f*cking nasty but you may like it. It is whipped and tastes like ass, give it a shot though.

Pretty Poodle. I gave a container to one of my fitness friends who is also a peanut butter lover. She is now placing an order. IMHO, suggest order more than one, cuz they are small (15 - 2 TBL per) and the shipping isn't that much more to order 6 -8 or more containers vs one or two. Each container is light and travels well! This is a winner!!

If anyone finds this in bulk packaging, please please please pass on!! T/y!!
