    Who has a protein shake (30g-40g) in the morning when you wake up before breakfast??

    I was reading an article that many bodybuilders take a whey shake first thing in the morning before breakfast because your body is in a fasted state of mind. Does this help when your trying to cut down as well? (I take GHRP/CJC) at 6AM and go back to bed and get up around 9AM).

    It's a good idea to get those fast digesting proteins in after a night of fasting.

    I do eggs, they are also fast digesting proteins. 1 cup of oats for carbs to get me going and 1 cup of oj to spike my insulin levels. This works great for me.

    Okay, for breakfast I already do 6oz. lean ground beef, 6oz. raw grapefruit juice, 6 farm fresh eggs (3 w/o yoke). I was thinking of even having a protein shake before that.

    I do because im doing cardio in the morning which otherwise would be 100% fasted

    Id rather have some aminos kicking around so that i dont loose mass

    Would something like amino acids like Chained' Out work as well? It has 0 calories.

    Oh nice ill take out the whey protein then and add that should I have that shake before or after I do fasted morning cardio?

    IMO, take your BCAA, do cardio, then eat. Or BCAA, cardio, shake, eat

    ^^^ THIS. Same thing I do on cardio only days. On workout days, I still have a 30g shake + 4 egg whites and 1 cup of oats with 1/4 cup blueberries.

    The main thing to me is that when you eat before you do cardio is that you may be burning the food you ate instead of the fat storage.

    Has anybody posted true fasted cardio results? Seems like a hot topic, and i was considering starting it next week with a keto

    Definitely with carbs, fats to a lesser extent, and protein really isn't a worry. When I do 'fasted' cardio, I still have a shake and/or some egg whites prior, sometimes even a whole egg with the whites. I just drop the oats and berries obviously.
