    PWO meal after fasted cardio?!

What would be the ideal meal? Is it pro / carbs or pro / fats and how much?

And what should I eat after my PWO (fasted cardio) meal?

There are alot of conflicting views on this board and I'd like to know what would be best.

My goal is lose body fat and my diet is in check.

I'm assuming that your fasted cardio is low intensity. If so then don't worry about it too much. Just eat the meal that you'd normally eat

I'd go with pro/carb. It's still your first meal of the day which IMO should always be pro/carb. You've already burned what you burned during the fasted cardio. Don't worry about carbs messing up the 'afterburn' effect. I used to sweat this but it's a non issue for me now.

I personally say carbs and protein

Some will say no carbs to extend the time the body has to use at as fuel

I dont buy into that theory tho as if you extend that period of time you will simply burn less fat laiter on

So IMO Egg whites and Oats is optimal after fasted cardio

    BCAA's or whey before cardio

Base, I'm not understanding, why you would recommend BCAA's or protein prior to cardio? BCAA's is not a food source and (IMO) would be acceptable for pre-cardio along with Glutamine, CLA, or L- Arginine (fasted) but protein is a food source and thus in the bloodstream (as food) prior to cardio, can you please explain your theory on this? Thanks,

Because a lot of people do not have BCAA's

    Most people do have Whey

My understanding is that protein will enter the bloodstream as amino acids and unless gluconeogenesis occurs (which it shouldnt if intensity is kept low) those amino acids will not be utalised as a fuel source.

You seem pretty clued up, so maybe you can put me right as its been a long time since I have done any real reading
