UK Diet
Hey
I am 27, 2 cycles down, 200 pounds, 5 10".
I went to America a few months ago, and eating was a lot easier, they have things figured out! I could buy 10 chicken breasts in a bag for like $6!!!
I am having a hard time figuring out an affordable UK diet, chicken breasts are expensive, and my fave food!
I am trying to eat not so many carbs, mostly protein.
My goals are:
Cals: 3500/4000
Carbs: 250/300
Protein 350/400
Fats: 50g
I am already doing 3 protein only shakes per day, they are 50g of protein each.
But how do the UK guys afford to eat to bulk??? I need ideas, tesco's do a white rice I like, alot of carbs in there, about 150 per pack!
My budget is about £40 per week, is this do-able? (I mean for food only, not the shakes)
Thanks
Matt

Find a good butcher and you can get chicken breasts for £1.99 a pound
So you could get 40 8oz breasts for that

Ahh Asda is the only thing I dont have around here.
so my 3 meals per day (imbetween shakes) could be, oats for breakfast and eggs, for lunch, rice and chicken, for dinner, chicken fajitas??
hmmm
Diet is most important, and its the area I suck in the most!

How about more then 3 meals (real food) per day. The way you said 'meals in between shakes' sounds backwards to me. It should be meals w/ shakes as a supplement PWO and wherever else ABSOLUTELY necessary (no time in the morning for instance). Just my .02 bro.

Hey
Yeah I agree totally, I worded it wrong.
Its ok as I may have found the answer, I just found already sliced chicken breast in my local supermarket for £2 per packet!
I can definately make it work in budget.

Noob question here but why is wholemeal rice/pasta preferred over white rice/pasta? I assumed something to do with high gi high carbs or something.
I'm also in process of working out how to write up a bulk diet. I think 40 quid is ample dude! seriously 2 protein shakes a day 4 meals. I was looking at tesco value chicken really cheap etc, chicken breasts alot more and wholemeal stuff is alot more. That's why I wondered about how essential it really is to get wholemeal stuff?
Answer?
