String Cheese...
In a cut diet is it a bad idea to eat string cheese for a snack?
5g fat
1g carb
8g protein
0g sugar
Does dairy make you look "soft"?

Yes. Reason is the macros don't look terrible but that 5g of fat is saturated. It's not the same as what you'd be getting from say, a 1/2 oz. of almonds. Cheese is not healthy food, period. You don't eat cream and butter on a diet, do you? If you were on the Atkin's diet, my answer may be different.

Kill it, grow it, eat it...

IMO...all dairy makes you look soft. Lactose..sugar is sugar. Along with fruit, dairy is first to get cut out when really dieting hard; and for a good reason.
When I cut...and cheat with some sort of dairy....I can tell....and for myself takes a day or two before I look tight again.
